EPOC was formed in 1996 to represent the interests of Connecticut's Licensed Environmental Professionals (LEPs) by providing information, training and updates regarding the LEP program in Connecticut. Activities of EPOC include: - providing members with courses in preparation for the LEP examination and for continuing education credits
maintaining liaisons with the State Board of Examiners and the Connecticut DEP to keep apprised of their activities, including development and implementation of regulations regarding licensing providing comment/testimony in the interest of LEPs assisting in revising/updating guidance documents as practice experience warrants serving as a clearinghouse for tools and information useful to LEPs, such as guidance documents, standards, technical protocols, research articles, etc., and, keeping members apprised of any changes or clarifications to LEPs' responsibilities.
Membership is available at a professional level for CT LEPs. A separate associate membership is available to anyone interested in the organization's activities.
