The CTDEP, along with the CTDEP Laboratory Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) Workgroup, has prepared a final guidance document titled "Laboratory Quality Assurance Quality Control Reasonable Confidence Protocols". 10/18/07: CT DEP "Portion of an Establishment" Policy Statement |
|
The CT DEP has recently published a document that sets forth the Department's policy on how a Certifying Party under the Transfer Act may segregate a “portion” of an establishment to be verified as properly investigated and remediated. 8/1/07: CRRA Hartford Landfill Capping Project - Expression of Interest for Soils |
|
The Connecticut Resources Recovery Authority will be undertaking closure activities at its Hartford Landfill during the next several years. Waste receipts will cease on or before December 31, 2008. Certain areas of the landfill have already reached capacity and are ready to be closed now. Closure of approximately 45 acres of the MSW/Interim Ash area is scheduled to begin during summer 2007 and extend into the 2008 construction season. At this time, CRRA is interested in identifying sources of both Topsoil and Cap Base Material which may be amenable for use on this project. 5/25/07 - Revised Verification Forms |

The CT DEP has revised all verification forms and strongly recommends LEPs use the new forms when rendering a verification. Note: Pursuant to the 2007 Public Acts, verifications rendered under the Property Transfer Program or 133x must be on a form prescribed by the Commissioner. |
