The Environmental Professionals' Organization of Connecticut (EPOC) cordially invites you to attend our annual dinner meeting on Thursday, September 13, 2012, at The Society Room of Hartford (map). Our event begins at 5:30 PM with social hour, followed by dinner, brief business meeting, and our keynote speaker, Kathryn Kelly.

Dinner fee is $30 for EPOC members, $45 for non-members. All current EPOC members attending the annual meeting will receive a complimentary drink ticket at the cash bar for your beverage of choice. Sign-up today!

Kathryn Kelly, DrPH

Current Topics and Trends in Risk Assessment

Dr. Kelly is President of Delta Toxicology, Inc., which provides strategic planning in environmental toxicology, health risk assessment, and risk communication, as well as expert witness testimony in selected cases. Delta Toxicology also provides research and analysis on technologies, companies and patents on behalf of investors in the environmental, chemical, waste and related industries. 

Dr. Kelly conducts and supervises toxicological and health risk assessments of environmental contamination problems involving chemical weapons, air, water, soil, pesticides, manufacturing facilities, and solid, hazardous, medical and radioactive waste at sites throughout the world. She has authored over 40 publications and given over 200 presentations on these issues internationally, including as invited or keynote speaker to audiences in Asia, Australia, Europe, and North and South America. Since 1998, her focus has been on providing toxicology support to various health agencies and military branches involved in destroying stockpiles of chemical weapons including sarin (GB), mustard gas and others. She received her doctorate in public health from Columbia University and her bachelor’s degree in Human Biology from Stanford University.
