The CBA Environmental Section, Environmental Professionals’ Organization of Connecticut and the Connecticut Chapter for Women Environmental Professionals will be co-hosting a dinner program featuring a mock negotiation of a sale of contaminated property. Jane Warren (McCarter & English) and Rachel Rosen (Burns & McDonnell) will represent the seller’s team and Beth Barton (Day Pitney, LLP) and Kathie Cyr (GZA GeoEnvironmental) will represent the buyer’s team. In addition to dealing with the typical negotiated terms (allocation of risk, access, escrow, etc), these teams will have to modify their strategy to address surprise twists and events during the process – Murphy’s Law! This exercise promises to be instructive while entertaining and a great opportunity for environmental professionals to network.
Cost: $45 per person
- Chicken Milanese (Breast of chicken with parmesan breading and white wine sauce)
- Grilled Swordfish with tarragon butter
- Pasta Primavera (Penne pasta sautéed with seasonal vegetables tossed in a parmesan cream sauce)
Please contact Doug Pelham at email@example.com or Cindy Karlson at firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
Note: Cancellations and substitutions are accepted for this event; however, you will be billed for the dinner unless you cancel by contacting EPOC prior to Friday, May 17, 2013.
